(Jack) Leydig, 77, Buffalo Mills RD 1, died April 8, 1987, at Bedford County Memorial Hospital. Born May 4, 1909, in Bedford County, son of the late B. Frank and Mary (Meyers) Leydig. Preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Survived by widow, former Mae Sides, whom he married Aug. 30, 1934; son Barry, married to the former Janet Bigelow, Bedford RD 2; grandsons Joe, Alan, Todd and Keith; six great-grandchildren. Brother of Hubert, Buffalo Mills RD 1 and Mrs. Marie Countryman, Berlin RD 1. Life-long member and retired employee of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, where he was Sunday School treasurer. Caretaker and treasurer of Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Member of former P.O.S.A. of Bard. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, the Revs. Steven Burr, Greg Hughes and Timothy Helms.
