   Helen R. Leydig, 88, Fort Hill, died Jan. 26, 2006, at Beverly Healthcare, Meyersdale
  Manor. She was born Aug. 30, 1917, in Listonburg, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ruth
  (Anderson) Bender. In addition to her parents, she is pre-ceded in death by her husband,
  Harry "Bud" Leydig; a sister, Faye Jean Becket; and a son-in-law, Raymond Holsopple. She
  is survived by daughters, Phyllis Bender and husband, Carl, Addison; Joan Hayes and
  husband, Leon, Keyser, W.Va.; and Marjory Holsopple, Somerset; a son, Tome Leydig and
  Nancy, Rockwood; seven grandchildren Jerry Bender and wife, Kris, Addison; Terry Bender
  and wife, Cathy, Fort Hill; Crystal Proietti and husband, Tim; Candy Keller and husband,
  Bill, both of Keyser; Tome Leydig II, Tony Leydig and wife, Janie, both of Fort Hill; and
  Amanda Rodgers and husband, Jason, Ontario, Canada; eight great-grand-children, Neil and
  Maddie Bender, Chris and Cory Proietti, Emily and Holly Keller, Cameron Leydig and
  Kaitlyn Rodgers, and a sister Louise Matthews, Confluence. She worked for more than 20
  years for the Turkeyfoot Valley Area School District and was a member of St. Paul's
  Lutheran Church, Fort Hill, and the Tuesday's Quilters of Addison. Friends will be
  received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Humbert
  Funeral Home, Confluence, where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev.
  Glenn P. Foster officiating. Interment St. Paul's Cemetery.
