Born Nov. 14, 1930, in Hyndman, he is the son of the late Walter G. and Florella (Sides) Leydig. Also preceded in death by a son, Alvin Leydig, two brothers and two sisters. Survived by Dorothy (Burkett) Leydig, his wife of 42 years, whom he married on June 29, 1961; children: Timothy W. Leydig and wife Sherry (Gray), Jonie Overly and Lisa Leydig, all of Emporium, and Cathy Haynes and husband Mike, Driftwood, and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Mr. Leydig loved hunting, fishing, and playing Bingo. He was a member of the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Club. Friends will be received from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Scott Mellott officiating. Interment Hyndman Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to assist the family with the expenses of the funeral.
