Leydig, 95, Mowry Hill Road, Buffalo Mills, died at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 12, 2004, at Donahoe Manor Nursing Home, Bedford. Born in Juniata Township, Bedford County, Sept. 21, 1909, she is the daughter of the late Harvey E. and Ada (Shippey) Sides. Also preceded in death by her husband, Freeman W. "Jack" Leydig, April 8, 1987, whom she married Aug. 30, 1934; brother, Earl J. Sides and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Dawn. She is survived by son, Barry L., husband of Janet Bigelow Leydig, Bedford; grandsons, Joseph, husband of Elaine Whitcomb Leydig, Portage; Alan, husband of Alicia Imler Leydig, Bedford; Todd, husband of Cindy Fleck Leydig, Everett; Keith, husband of Wendy Whitcomb Leydig, Newville; sister, Olive Christner, Lancaster; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was a housewife and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Dry Ridge. Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Loyal Kelso officiating.
