(Peggy) Daily American Margaret E. "Peggy" Leydig, 89, Mowry Hill Road, Buffalo Mills, went home to be with the Lord at 9:05 a.m., May 21, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Leydig was born Aug. 11, 1917, in Juniata Township, the daughter of the late James and Zella (Diehl) Robb. Peggy was the widow of Clyde L. Leydig, whom she married in August 1936, and he preceded her in death in November 1987. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Robb, and a sister, Velma Manges. She is survived by sons, James L. Leydig, Buffalo Mills; Gary L. Leydig, husband of Carol Cline, Everett; sisters, Reta Adams, Bedford; Hilda Culp, Mims, Fla.; Phyllis Croyle, Schellsburg; sister-in-law, Marie Countryman, Berlin. Peggy is also survived by a grandson, Brandon L. Leydig, and two great-grandsons, Scott L. and Simeon L. Leydig. She was a housewife and enjoyed gardening, was quite a bread baker and did a lot of canning for her family. Margaret was a member of the former Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church of Buffalo Mills and the ladies aid of the church. Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Homer Duppstadt officiating.
