  LICHLITER
  
  John C. Lichliter, Jr., 77, of Salisbury, died Aug. 6, 1986, at
  home.  Born Jan. 31, 1909, in Salisbury, son of the late John C. and
  Jane (Rees) Lichliter.  Survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth
  Boyer; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Lichliter of Boothwyn, Pa.; one
  brother, Reese of Salisbury; and two sisters, Mrs. Winifred Newman,
  and Mrs. Emily Jane Hickson, both of Confluence.  He operated the
  J.C. Lichliter Company Store in Salisbury until 1972.  He was a
  member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury; member and
  past Master of Meyersdale Lodge 554, F. and AM. for 55 years; member
  of Hebron Royal Arch, Chapter 272, Meyersdale; Uniontown Commandry
  49; Jaffa Shrine of Altoona; Grantsville Rotary Club; South Central
  Somerset County School Authority; and director of Liberty Bank of
  Grantsville.  Masonic service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the
  funeral home.  Friends will be received Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and
  Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where
  funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Mark J.
  Stewart and the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery, Meyersdale.
