All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ ANNIE LICHTY Garrett County, Maryland Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Wegman Lichty, 88, who died early Thursday morning, October 8, at the home of Mrs. Ida Yommer, with whom she had resided the past few weeks, were conducted at Mrs. Lichty's home, Saturday afternoon with Rev. S. D. Sigler officiating. Mrs. Lichty has been in ill health for the past year, during the last eight weeks of which she was bedfast. She was born March 23, 1854, in Grantsville, where she spent her entire life. She was the daughter of the late John Wegman, native of Sweden, and Catherine (Ruckel) Wegman, native of Ireland. After the death of her first husband, Nicholas Murphy, she married Christian J. Lichty, who also preceded her in death. Until the time of her death, Mrs. Lichty's excellent memory of the past never failed her. She was a member of the Lutheran church. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary McCaw, Oswego, N.Y., and Mrs. Agnes Noakes, Springfield, Mo. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were John Folk, C. O. Bender, Joseph Fabey and O. J. Glotfelty. Interment was in the Grantsville Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, October 15, 1942
