All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ CORA LICHTY Mrs. Cora Stoner Lichty, 73, widow of the late Dr. John Alden Lichty, prominent Pittsburgh physician and a first cousin to Dr. Bruce Lichty of Meyersdale, died Tuesday, February 18, in Findlay, O., where she had been visiting. She and her husband left Pittsburgh in 1923 when he retired as professor in the medical school of the University of Pittsburgh and from the staffs of Mercy and Columbia Hospitals to accept the superintendency of a sanitarium in Clifton Springs, N.Y. He died there in 1932 and Mrs. Lichty had made her home since in Chautauqua, N.Y. Here she was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Walter N. Lissfelt, of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Howard O. Hunter, Washington, D.C.; two sons, Dr. John A. Jr., of Rochester, N.Y. and Dr. Joseph S. Lichty, Cleveland, O., and six grandchildren. Services and burial will be at Clifton Springs, Friday afternoon. Meyersdale Republican, February 20, 1941
