Lichty, 72, of 40 Humbird Street, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 1989, at the Rowser Foster Nursing Home in Manns Choice. Born April 4, 1916 in Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late John Robert and Bertha Lucinda (Diehl) Darnley. She was a retired employee and member of the Allegheny County Chapter, American Red Cross. She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ; a life member of Fort Washington Unit 2, Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, and a former state officer of the DAV Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, David J. Lichty, and four cousins. Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, LaVale, Md., where services were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Harold Shaffer. Interment, Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Lichty, James Lichty, Jerry Lichty, Joseph Lichty, Joseph L. Morgan, and Amil Janar. The Republic, March 2, 1989 [L0833]
