The body will be brought to Meyersdale for burial. Meyersdale Commercial, May 20, 1915 --- One of the county's venerable and estimable residents, died on Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Hickok, at Wichita, in Kansas, where she had gone a month ago on a visit. Mrs. Lichty had undergone an operation shortly before her death and pneumonia developed which suddenly ended her life. Mrs. Lichty was aged 77 years, 1 month and 3 days. Her husband was David Lichty, who died Sept. 21, 1912. There survive to call her blessed, of all her children: Dr. Bruce Lichty, of Meyersdale; Ross Lichty and Mrs. Annie Beachy, of Carleton, Kansas; Stewart Lichty and Harvey Lichty, of Wellington, Kansas, Mrs. Hickok, Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Frank Petry, of Salisburg, (Salisbury?) with whom she lived most of the time. The deceased was for 37 years a faithful member of the Church of the Brethren. The remains arrived in this place today and were taken to the home of her son, Dr. Lichty on Meyers Avenue, where funeral services were held conducted by Rev. Wm. Howe, following which interment was made in the Union Cemetery beside her husband. Meyersdale Commercial, May 20, 1915
