Lichty, 92 of Berlin, died January 11, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. She was born December 6, 1915 in Brothersvalley Township, daughter of Homer G. Vought and Mary Florence (Ringler) Vought-Shultz. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Homer; sisters: Mary Esther Smith, Margaret Thomas, Florence Sarver, Helen Wallace, Ruth Butler, and Anne Swearman; and brothers: Wayne and Roy Shultz. She is survived by sisters: Lois Saylor, Berlin; and Dorothy Casteel, Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Meyersdale High School, and a former employee of Meyersdale Manufacturing. She retired as head dietitian for the former Somerset County Home for the Aged, Berlin. She was a member of Mt. Zion Hay's United Church of Christ. Family received friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service was held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Ralph G. Landis officiating. Interment Hay's Church Cemetery. Instead of flowers, contributions may be given to Mt.
