Lichty, 89, died Oct. 31, 1978* in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Dec. 20, 1888, she was a daughter of the late George Schramm and Ida (Smouse) Schramm. Her husband Jonas S. Lichty, preceded her in death. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Salisbury, the Salisbury American Legion Auxiliary and the Salisbury Firemen's Auxiliary. Surviving are four sons, Edward Lichty, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; James Lichty, Meyersdale; David Lichty, Cumberland, Md.; Paul Lichty, Salisbury; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Schultz, Miss Sara Jane Lichty and Mrs. Patricia L. Werner, all of Salisbury; a brother, Paul Schramm, Union City; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Stroub [sic*], Somerset; Mrs. Maude Foster, Bradenton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Thomas Funeral Home. Services were conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church by the Rev. David E. Fetter. Interment, Salisbury Cemetery. Survived by four sons: Edward of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; James of Meyersdale; David of Cumberland, Md.; and Paul of Salisbury; also three daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Schultz, Miss Sara Jane Lichty and Mrs. Patricia L.
