James in Meyersdale, on Friday, June 18, of coronary occlusion. Mr. Lindeman was a very successful truck farmer until he retired about ten years ago. His farm at the foot of Hansrick was know for miles for the bounteousness of the crops it produced under his handling. He was born in Cumberland on March 4, 1856, a son of John and Christina (Rausch) Lindeman and was aged 92 years, 3 months and 14 days at his death, the oldest man in Meyersdale. He is survived by three sons, John Lindeman of Boynton, and Charles and Robert Lindeman of Meyersdale; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret James of Meyersdale, and one brother, Augustus Lindeman, also of Meyersdale. His wife, the former Elizabeth Lee, died in 1928, and one daughter, Mary Lindeman, died in 1942. Funeral services were conducted at the home of his daughter, Mrs. James at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, June 21, with the Rev. Ira S. Monn, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church of Salisbury, officiating. Mr. Lindeman was a member of the Meyersdale Reformed Church. Interment was made in the Union Cemetery in Meyersdale in charge of Salisbury Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, June 24, 1948
