Lindsay, 61, of Commack, N.Y., died April 8, 1981, at Central Suffolk Hospital, Riverhead, N.Y. Born May 7, 1919, in Swissvale, son of the late Samuel E. and Iome (Lowers) Lindsay. Survived by his wife, the former Violet Coughenour, and these children: S. Craig, Smithtown, N.Y.; Bruce, Pittsburgh; Lance, and Lori, both at home; a brother, Robert of Pittsburgh; and a sister, Mrs. William (Jessie) Bankert, San Francisco, Calif. He was a systems analyst for Suffolk County, N.Y., and a veteran of World War II. Member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Commack, and a member of the church council and choir. He was a past master of Wilkensburg Lodge No. 683, F and AM. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The Meyersdale Lodge No. 554, F and AM will conduct a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Daily American, April 10, 1981 [L0919]
