  LING
  
    Rev. James R. Ling, 67, of Somerset, formerly of Friedens, died
  June 7, 2000 in Somerset Hospital.  Born March 29, 1933 in Toledo,
  Ohio, the son of the late Harold C. and Alma (Suhrweir) Ling. 
  Survived by his wife of 46 years the former Mary A. Warnke; children,
  Kimberly A. married to Rev. Alan R. Wilson of Mercersburg, James H. T.
  married to the former Lisa T. Bernett of Imperial, Katherine A.
  married to John W. Mueller of Stillwater, Okla. and Kathleen A.
  married to Scott K. Dages of Sellersville.  Also survived by
  grandchildren Margery and Liane Wilson, Julia Mueller and James
  Dages.  He was ordained in 1958 from Hamma Divinity School,
  Springfield, Ohio.  He served as pastor of the Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Louisville, KY., Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Mt. Clemens,
  Mich. and for 36 years at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.  He
  also served as chaplain for 28 years at the Somerset State
  Hospital.  Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, 2-4 and
  7-9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  A viewing will
  be from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the
  Friedens Lutheran Church.  Rev. John Timm and Bishop Gregory Pile
  officiating.  Interment will be at the Buckstown Cemetery.  Instead
  of flowers, contributions may be given to the Friedens Lutheran
  Church Memorial Fund, Friedens, Pa 15541.
