Ling, 85, Central City, died Oct. 16, 1981, at home. Born July 1, 1896, in Shade Township, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Pepley) Small. Preceded in death by husband, Elmer H.; sons: Clarence and David W.; also four brothers and two sisters. Survived by these children: Clair B., Joliet, Il.; Edna M., wife of Thomas Davies, Edinboro; Betty L., wife, of James K. Frazier, Somerset; Ruthelene, wife of Kenneth Burkett, Somerset RD 5; Doris M., wife of George Springer, Cheswick; also 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Sister of Earl, Akron, Ohio; Vera, wife of Robert Emenheiser, Red Line, Pa.; and Robert, Orangevale, Calif. Member of Central City Senior Citizens. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Charles E. Brumbaugh Funeral Home, Central City. Viewing after 10 a.m. Tuesday at Graef's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook, where services will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Woodrow J. Klinger officiating.
