Born Jan. 31, 1928 in Hyndman, son of the late Arch T. and Flora (Myers) Lingenfelter. Family moved to Stoystown shortly after Fred's birth and he has resided there ever since. Survived by wife of 51 years, the former Mary Wasylczak; daughter, Rochelle, wife of John M. Toth, Hooversville RD; and brother, Robert, Cleveland, Ohio. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and best buddy "Casey Jo." Graduate of the former Stoystown High School. Navy veteran of World War II. Retired employee of the Pennsylvania Auditor General's office. Member of TPA, Somerset Post 554 VFW, Stoystown Post 257 American Legion, PARSE and the Shade Democratic Club. Attended the Central City Full Gospel Church. Lifelong member of the Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Also a lifelong Democrat and Stoystown Borough committeeman for 22 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. David Brady and the Rev.
