LININGER Death of Henry Lininger Accident, Md., June 3 - While visiting at the Uniontown Hospital on Memorial Day, members of the American Legion Flower Committee called on and presented Henry F. Lininger, aged 83, with a beautiful floral tribute. A few hours later Mr. Lininger was dead, the victim of a complication of diseases from which he had been suffering for the last two years. Mr. Lininger was a private in Company K. Third Regiment, Potomac Home Brigade, Maryland Infantry, and served throughout the Civil War. He was born near Accident, and lived in Garrett County until 1918 when he moved to Fayette County, Pa., residing in German Township and Uniontown since that time. He was the oldest son of the late Lewis Lininger and lived in Grantsville during the early 70's. He is survived by the following children: George, of Waterloo, Iowa; Clinton and Joe, of Connellsville; William, of California; Lewis, of Sebring, Fla.; Henry, of Louisville, Ohio; Mrs. Clark Collins, Point Marion; Roy, Lawrence and Harold, of Uniontown. He is also survived by the following sisters: Mrs. Conway, of Connellsville; Mrs. Amanda Schlossnagle, Sabraton, W.Wa.; Mrs. John Hetrick, Accident, Md. The body was removed to Johnstown's mortuary chapel where it remained until Monday when it was taken to St. Jacob's Lutheran Church, in German Township, where services were conducted by Rev. E. A. Hodil, pastor of the Third Presbyterian Church of Uniontown. A military funeral, in charge of Lafayette Post, No. 51, American Legion was conducted, with burial in the church cemetery.
