His grandfather, Christian Lint moved from beyond Somerset to Greenville Township in the beginning of the nineteenth century when this locality was yet a wilderness. He was united in holy wedlock with Sarah Glotfelty Nov. 4, 1860. This union was blessed with six sons and five daughters. Three of the sons preceded him to the spirit world namely: Jacob, Jeremiah and Franklin. Elder Lint was an officer in the Church for more than fifty years having taken his father's place when he became too old to do the work. He was an active and influential Member all these years and served the Church as an Elder up to his death. He was also a member of the church Building Committee of the New Reformed church at Pocahontas. The cause of his death was paralysis super induced by other infirmities. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor Rev. A. S. Kresge, assisted by Rev. I. S. Monn of Elk Lick on Tuesday January 4 at 10 a. m. in St. Mark' church, Pocahontas, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Greenville cemetery.
