Died Last Thursday - Jacob Lint, eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. Noah Lint of Greenville Twp., died at Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, Feb. 16, 1905, after an illness of only 26 hrs of neuralgia of the heart, aged 42 yrs 4 mos 20 days. The deceased left this county about twenty years ago going first to Minnesota, then to Waterloo, Iowa & from there to Chillicothe here he was in charge of the electrical light plant. He was an expert electrician & had made a name for himself in his adopted home, & he was held by the very highest esteem by the people there. His remains left there on Friday night in charge of Mr. J.E. Pardonner of that city who was sent here by the Masonic fraternity, the deceased being high in the work of that order. The remains reached Sand Patch on train No. 47 on Sunday afternoon, & were taken from there to his father's residence in Greenville. The deceased was a member of Friendship Lodge, AF&M, No. 89 of Chillicother, Mo., & was pastmaster of the lodge; he was also Past High Priest of Royal Arch Chapter, No. 30 & thrice Illustrious Master of the Council & Senior Warden of Pashal Commandry, No. 32. Mr. Pardonner who came through with his remains told us that there was not a man in the city of Chillcothe, who stood higher with the people than did Mr. Lint, & this certainly will be a comfort to his aged parents. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon, & a large delegation of the local Masonic orders attended. The services were conducted by Rev. May, pastor of the Reformed church of Salisbury, & interment was in the cemetery of the Greenville church. Meyersdale Republican, Thurs., Feb 23, 1905 ------- JACOB LINT Jacob Lint - News was received Saturday last by Mr. & Mrs. Noah Lint of Greenville that their eldest son, Jacob, had died at his home in Chillicothe, Missouri, on the 16th inst. & that his body would be brought home for burial. This was all & for several days the family was in the dark as to the cause of his death. One of the dead man's friends & Masonic brethren accompanied the remains here & officiated at the last sad rites.
