Calvin Lint Dropped Dead While At Work Displayed No Signs of Illness When End Came Suddenly John Calvin Lint, aged 66, of Lincoln Avenue, died suddenly of a heart attack, about 9 o'clock Saturday morning while working as a section hand on the B. & O. tracks near the coaling station about two miles west of Meyersdale. Other workmen on the job said Mr. Lint gave no signs of being ill before he suddenly collapsed. Mr. Lint was the son of Noah and Sara (Glotfelty) Lint and was born in Greenville Township. He has been a resident of Meyersdale for the past 30 years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Grace (Christner) Lint; four children, Mrs. Melvin Bowman, Summit Township; Kenneth Lint, Salisbury, and Paul and Robert Lint, both at home, and these brothers and sisters: J. N. Lint, Meyersdale; Francis Lint, Greenville Township; Mrs. J. R. McPhail, Boynton; Mrs. Susan Graham and Miss Annie Lint, both of Frostburg, Md., and Ellen and Clara Lint, both of Greenville Township. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2:30 at the Lint home on Lincoln Avenue, by Rev. Nelson C. Brown, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed Church. His remains were interred in the family plot in the Union Cemetery, under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician. Mr. Lint was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the United Mine Workers of America and the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance Men. Meyersdale Republican, October 23, 1941
