Born July 27, 1912 in Shaw Mines, Summit Township. A son of the late Ralph and Madeline (D' Isadoro) Lishia. Also preceded in death by brothers: Fred, John, Louis, Tony and James and his wife Rose. Survived by two sisters: Julia, wife of the late Wedo Collesion, San Diego, Calif., and Helen, wife of the late Ward Holler, Boynton, and a brother Joseph, married to the former Donna Beal, Boynton. Also a number of nieces and nephews. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. A former coal miner, then later retired after 25 years with Harry M. Stevens at Maryland race tracks. Worked at Horseshoe Casino in Las Vegas, and operated the Jockey Room Kitchen at Maryland race tracks. Frank was a Roman Catholic by faith. A private Committal service was conducted at SS. Philip and James Cemetery in Meyersdale with Rev. Donald W. Dusza officiating. Arrangements by the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.
