Born February 22, 1921, at Boynton, she was the daughter of the late Hobert Earl and Veda (Holler) May. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Clarence Grove and Anthony Lishia; one daughter, Dixie McKenzie; one sister, Vondegale Brown; and one brother, Troy May. Mrs. Lishia was owner of Lishia's Hotel in Berlin and she was also postmistress in the Boynton Post Office. During World War II, Mrs. Lishia worked as a welder in a shell casing manufacturing plant in Detroit, Mich. Surviving are one son, Jeff Grove, Berlin; one brother, Earl May, Norfolk, Vir.; one sister, Aretta Hook, Englewood, Fla.; four grandchildren, Kim McKenzie, Meyersdale; Brittany, Hunter, and Kelsey Grove, all of Berlin; and one great grandchild, Tara Hartman. Friends were received at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Thursday (today), at 10 a.m., with the Rev.
