She was a native of Somerset and had been a resident of Port Lucie for 8 years, after coming here from York. She was a registered nurse, a graduate of the Polyclinic Hospital School of Nursing in Harrisburg. She was active in many community, church and social organizations during her life. She held many offices, including president of the Japan Central Exchange Officers Wives Club in Yokohama, Japan; president of the Women's Association of Central Congregational Church in Galesburg, Ill.; president of the Protestant Women of the Chapel and vice president of the Officers Wives Club at Ft. Richardson, Alaska; president of the Officers Wives Club at Ft. Belvoir, Va., and the founding president of the Welcome Wagon Club in York. Her talent as a writer of poetry was joy to her many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. March 7 at Hiers Funeral Home, 910 S.E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, Fla. Burial will be in Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church Cemetery at Lynne, Fla. No visitation. Surviving are her husband, Col. (Ret.) Percy F. Lisk Jr. of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Joyce M. Viggiano; her husband, Donald Viggiano, M.D., and children, Laura, David and Brian, all of Port St. Lucie; son, John F. Lisk; his wife, Ann, and daughter, Katherine, all of Coconut Grove; sister, Mary Shaffer Jarrett, and her husband, Fred Jarrett, of Port St. Lucie. Daily American, March 5, 1993 [L0998]
