Liston died at the home of John Sands, Sr., near Maple Summit, Wednesday morning, November 18th, after a long suffering from cancer. She was the widow of James Liston who died about seventeen years ago. She was born at Draketown, Somerset County, on July 15th, 1855, and was aged 76 years, 5 months and 2 days. She is survived by three children, Mrs. Lewis Shipley, of Bidwell, John Liston of Maple Summit and Miss Alice Liston of Hazelwood. Surviving also are two sisters, Mrs. Dellie Dodson of Gans and Mrs. Sarah King of Markleton. She was a lifelong member of the Bidwell Christian Church and Sunday School, having spent her whole life in that district. Funeral services were held at the Sands home on Saturday at 10 a.m., Rev. Wm. H. Weisheit of the Confluence Christian Church officiating. Interment in the Sands Cemetery, Maple Summit. Funeral Director Charles B. Humbert was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
