Livengood of West Salisbury, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward C. Newman at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9th, of a complication of diseases. Mrs. Livengood had been ill for quite a long time, and was recently brought to the home of her daughter, so that she might have proper care. She was aged 75 years, 10 months and 5 days. She was born in Elk Lick Township on March 4, 1870, a daughter of Simon S. and Sarah (Shoemaker) Folk, and was married on July 20, 1890, at Cove, Md. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Lulu, wife of Ed. C. Newman, and Florence, wife of C. S. Emeigh, of Wilkinsburg, Pa.; two sons, Reed and Floyd of West Salisbury; one sister, Mrs. Silas Hostetler, Meyersdale R.D. 3; and one brother, Usysses Folk. She was a life-long member of the Church of the Brethren, a woman of sterling character, and well liked by all who knew her. Funeral services will be conducted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Newman at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 12th, with her pastor, Rev. A. J. Replogle, officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas.
