W. Livengood, Salisbury's well known druggist, Monday afternoon, after a period of failing health lasting several weeks. With the exception of the last few days, Henry spent his entire life on what was originally known as the Henry Yoder farm, and later as the Elijah Livengood farm, now operated by Carleton Livengood, son of Joseph, and grandson of Elijah Livengood. When he was a child three years old, he contracted a very malignant case of scarlet fever, and he never fully recovered from all of the bad after effects of that deadly malady, which utterly disqualified him for study in school, as he became older. He was of a shy disposition, and ill at ease in presence of strangers. However, he was quite useful in doing the chores about the barn, caring for the livestock, etc., and willingly doing what he could under the direction of the other members of the family, who were ever kind to him and considerate of his welfare and comfort. Physically he became quite strong with advancing years, until recently he began to lose flesh and grow weaker from day to day. Last Friday his brother, Daniel, had him brought to his home, where his only sister has been living since the death of her parents, and desired to help care for her unfortunate brother during his illness, and where he would be nearer to a doctor. Everything possible was done for him, but he sank rapidly since Friday, and death soon followed. He is survived by one sister and three brothers, as follows: Miss Elizabeth Livengood, Abraham G. Livengood and Daniel W. Livengood of Salisbury, and Joseph Livengood of Grantsville, Md. The funeral was held Wednesday at 10 a.m., at the D. W. Livengood residence, conducted by Rev. Guy E. Wampler, pastor of the Salisbury Church of the Brethren. The burial arrangement was in charge of Funeral Director W. C. Price of Meyersdale. Interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
