Livengood died in the Latrobe hospital at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, of coronary occlusion. He suffered a heart attack 12 hours previous to his death, in the Pennsylvania Railroad station, and was removed from there to the hospital. He had suffered a broken leg in July when struck by a car near Chambersburg and had been hospitalized there until October. From Chambersburg, he had gone to West Virginia, and had been in Latrobe but a few days prior to his death. He was born in Salisbury, a son of the late John J. and Catherine (Enos) Livengood, on May 5, 1885, and was 63 years, six months and six days in age at his passing. He is survived by four sisters - Mrs. Sarah Yoder and Mrs. Edith Wagner of Salisbury, and Misses Elizabeth and Evelyn Livengood of Washington, D.C. Funeral services were conducted in the Thomas Funeral Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, with the Rev. George E. Yoder, a nephew of the deceased, officiating. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in charge of Mortician Stanley M. Thomas. Meyersdale Republican, November 18, 1948
