"Bud" Livingston, 64, of Friedens RD 2, formerly of Ferndale, died Dec. 10, 1975 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1911 in Johnstown, a son of Milton A. and Ida Shaffer Livingston. Preceded in death by parents; a sister Ruth; and two brothers, Byron and David. Survived by his widow, the former Jean Saylor and these children: Jerry of 283 Main St., Franklin; Jeanne, wife of Kenneth McCreary, 339 Arthur St.; and Sally, wife of Robert B. Bence, Stoystown RD 2; and four grandchildren. A brother of Frank of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Edna Esch, 295 Little John Lane; Mrs. Amelia Hillegass 87 Bronx St.; Mrs. Evelyn Baer of York; and Miss Martha Livingston 531 Summit Ave. A life member of the Ferndale Fire Co., was also a member of the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren of Brotherton; Shanksville Volunteer Fire Co.; and Local Union No. 4908, USW. He was a retired employee of the Penn Machine Co. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, Johnstown where services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Owen Preston officiating. Interment, Berkey Cemetery. Somerset American, December 11, 1975 [L1086]
