Llewellyn, 69, of Bedford RD 4, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 1989, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born June 9, 1920, in Vale Summit, Md., he was the son of the late Oscar McKee and Elsie Mae (Matthews) Llewellyn. Surviving are his widow, Thelma J. (Morgan) Llewellyn; one daughter, Paula Mae Ternent, Lonaconing, Md.; one son, Louis McKee Llewellyn, Bedford; one sister Mrs. Anne McGill, LaVale, Md.; one brother, Oscar Llewellyn, Meyersdale; two grandsons; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was of the Protestant faith and was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 945 and an associate member of the VFW. A lifetime farmer, he retired in 1980 from the farm he and his wife operated since 1945. He worked under the Green Thumb program at the old Bedford Village for the past two years. Friends were received at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford, where services were conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. William A. Slick and the Rev. Robert K. Sweet.
