'Red' 10/15/07 Daily American Oscar M. "Red" Llewellyn, 85, LaVale, Md., passed away Oct. 11, 2007, at WMHSBraddock Campus. He was born in 1922, in Frostburg , Md., the son of the late Oscar McKee and Elsie (Matthews) Llewellyn. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Harry and Louis Llewellyn; and one sister, Erma Keifer. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laura Edna (Blubaugh) Llewellyn; one sister, Ann McGill, Cumberland; three daughters, Gloria Cogan, Farmington; Mona Dunn and husband, John, Shippensburg; and Debbie Crissinger and husband, David, Meyersdale; one grandson, David Crissinger Jr.; one granddaughter, Lauren Crissinger; and many nieces and nephews. Oscar was a 1942 graduate of Beall High School. He was the owner and operator of Morning Sun Dairy Farm in Meyersdale for 42 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing his guitar and banjo and was an avid Civil War buff. He attended the Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian, Md., where he played his guitar and sang in the choir. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg . A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Assembly of God. The Rev. Jimmie Blair and the Rev. Jim Blubaugh (brother-in-law) co-officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 11128 Cash Valley Road, LaVale, Md.
