  LLOYD
  
  Dr. Samuel J. Lloyd, M.D., 85, of Chatham, N.J., died Jan. 2, 1996,
  in Chatham.  Preceded in death by his wife, the former Bernice Miller
  of Glencoe, who died in May 1995.  Survived by these children: Samuel
  J. Lloyd Jr. of Warrenton, Va.; Mary B. Lloyd of Ben Salem, and David
  J. Lloyd of Madison, N.J.; also eight grandchildren.  Retired Trenton,
  N.J. surgeon.  Served in the U.S. Army as a major and retired as
  colonel, M.VC., A.U.S. 1940-1945.  Funeral service will be held at 11
  a.m. Saturday in Trenton, N.J., and family will receive friends from
  10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin.  Interment
  will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetry [sic], Glencoe, Rev. Ralph Landis
  officiating.  Memorial contributions may be given to Mercer Medical
  Center, P.O., Box 128, Trenton, N.J. 08601 or a charity of the donors choice.
