Lobach, 80, of Stoystown, died March 5, 1973 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born March 25, 1892 in Bethelehem, Pa., son of Rev. Albert and Ada Breinig Lobach. Preceded in death by parents, two brothers and three sisters. Survived by wife, former Rosetta Platt and one son, Samuel E. Jr., of Hanover, Pa., three grandchildren, Bruce, Scott, Lynn Ann; two sisters, Miss Ada of Lancaster and Miss Catharine of Jenkintown. He was a retired Evangelical and Reformed and United Church of Christ minister, having served over 50 years in the ministry at the following charges: Pine Bun-Olive, Meyersdale Wilhelm, Waynesboro and Greensburg Third Church and Stoystown. He was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and Lancaster Theological Seminary. He was a member of Stoystown Lions Club and Apollo F&AM Lodge 437. Family will receive friends in the Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until noon Thursday. Remains will be removed to St. PaulAos United Church of Christ, Stoystown to lie in state from 1 p.m. untile [sic] services at 2 p.m. Rev. Paul L. Westcoat Jr. Penn West Conference minister, assisted by Rev. Richard H. Shellenberger and his pastor Rev. Leonard F. Zecchini officiating. Interment Union Cemetery Somerset. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Rev. S. E. Lobach Memorial Fund may be sent to Rev. Leonard Zecchini, Stoystown. Daily American, 6 March 1973 [L1104]
