Born Jan. 22, 1922, in Indiana County, son of Lester and Daisy (Shields) Lockard. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Mae Pierce and Maude McKee, and brothers, Fred, Leroy, Robert and Louis. Survived by wife, the former Dolores Lepley; son, Barry Wayne, married to the former Mary Walker, Wormleysburg, and grandson, Jeffrey. Brother of Wava Ferrero, Clarabell Raush, Marie Peace and Betty Brown, all of Indiana County. Also survived by mother-in-law, Bertha Lepley, Boswell. Member and church officer of Boswell Church of the Nazarene. Also member of Jenner Rod and Gun Club and Somerset County Oldtimers Baseball Association. Army veteran, World War II. Volunteer at St. Vincent dePaul Food Distribution Center, Johnstown. Retired employee of Ambridge Works, U.S. Steel Corp. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Rev. Michael W. McGarry.
