LOCKARD Mrs. Emily Elizabeth Lockard, widow of Francis T. Lockard, died Sunday at her home, Liberty Heights, Westminster, Md. She was the daughter of the late Frederick A. Devilbiss and Margaret Caylor Devilbiss and was aged 88 years, 3 months and 20 days. Her husband preceded her in death 48 years ago. She leaves three daughters: the Misses Ida F., and Margaret Lockard at home, and Mrs. Thomas Lynch, Baltimore; one brother, William Devilbiss, Reese; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with services to be conducted in the Ascension Protestant Episcopal Church. The Rev. Leon P. F. Vauthier will have charge of the services. Interment will be made in the Westminster cemetery. - Hanover (Pa.) Evening Sun. The Lockard's were residents of Meyersdale half a century ago, Mr. Lockard having been a partner in one of the first shoe stores in this borough. His death occurred here, after which Mrs. Lockard and children removed to Westminster, Md., where they have resided since. Meyersdale Republican, August 7, 1930
