  LOCKARD
  
  Verna G. Lockard, 85, of Pennknoll Village and formerly of Bedford RD
  4 died at 7:35 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Pennknoll Village,
  Snake Spring, Twp., Pa.  Born in Kimmelton, Somerset County, on
  Saturday, Sept. 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Wilbur and
  Mary Mostoller.  She was a maid at Judy's Motel in Bedford.  She was
  the widow of John T. Lockard, whom she married on Sept. 13, 1933 in
  Cumberland, Md.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1975.  She was
  a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bedford RD 4.  She is
  survived by her brother-in-law Gerald Lockard, husband of LaVerne
  (Messersmith) Osterburg; brothers, Nevin Mostoller, Berlin; Harvey
  Mostoller, Somerset; and Wilbert Mostoller, New York; and nieces and
  nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and
  Robert; and a sister, Minnie Bowersox.  Funeral service at Louis
  Geisel Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Thursday, with Rev. Karen Wright
  officiating.  Interment at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.  Friends are
  invited to call from 4-9 p.m., Wednesday at Louis Geisel Funeral
  Home, Bedford.
