Born Sept. 9, 1913, in Punxsutawney, Pa., and move [sic] to Vero Beach in 1974 from San Antonio, Texas. She was a housewife and member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Vero Beach. Mrs. Lodoen's father, Earl H. Perry, was a Lt. Col. in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and also an ordained Episcopal ninister [sic]. She was married April 25, 1934, in St. Mark's Episcopal Church, San Antonio, Texas by the Rev. Arthur McKinstry, the now-retired bishop of the state of Delaware. She is survived by her husband, Maj. Gen. George Olaf Norman Lodoen, U.S. Army, Ret., Vero Beach, Fla.; one son, George Iver Perry Lodoen of Vero Beach; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Alger of East Bridgewater, Mass.; one sister Mrs. Patricia Huff of Pittsboro, N.C.; and three grandchildren., Funeral sevices [sic] were held Tuesday, March 8, at 11 a.m. from the Trinity Episcopal Church with Father David C. Lord, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jim Clarke, chaplain of St. Edwards School. Graveside sevices [sic] will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas, under the direction of the Porter Loring Mortuary in San Antonio. Local arrangements under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Homes, Vero Beach, Fla. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the American Cancer Society, 1517 20th St., Vero Beach, Fla. 32960 in Mrs. Lodoen's memory. Daily American, March 9, 1983 [L1117]
