Born Aug. 2, 1917 in Hyndman, she was the daughter of the late W. Stanley and Minnie Belle (Aberle) Pensyl. She was also preceded in death by Robert Charles Logsdon, her husband of 51 years, and by a brother, Raymond D. Pensyl. Surviving are two sons, Robert Clark Logsdon and wife Adele (Williams), Somerset, and Charles Ray Logsdon, and wife Mary (Bruck), Orange Park, Fla.; six grandchildren, Scott Logsdon, N.Y., N.Y., Chad and Heather Logsdon, Somerset, Lisa (Logsdon) Plan and husband Eric, Jacksonville, Fla., and Rachel Logsdon, Orange Park, and a beloved sister-in-law, L. Gertrude Pensyl, Hyndman. Mrs. Logsdon, a homemaker, was an active member of the First United Church of Christ, Hyndman, which she joined July 6, 1930. She was a member of the church choir from 1936 until 1988 and had served the church as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent and president of the Ladies Aide Society. She was a charter member of the Hyndman Library and a former member of the Hyndman Senior Citizens. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Steven L. Craft, First United Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Hyndman Cemetery at the side of her beloved husband, Robert. Daily American, October 19, 2000 [L1139]
