Born in Stringtown July 27, 1921, he was a son of the late Irvin Logsdon and Bessie (Beal) Logsdon. He retired as night superintendent after 36 years of employment with the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland, Md. He served in the Navy during World War II. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Phyllis V. (Amick) Logsdon; a son Harlan Brooke, Cumberland, Md.; a daughter, Mrs. Victoria Knaub, York; a brother, Leo W. Logsdon, and four sisters, Mrs. Helen Reges, Mrs. Mabel Shroyer, Mrs. Mildred Miller and Mrs. Gladys Stallings, all of Hyndman RD 1; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Friends were received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home where services were conducted at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Allyn L. Ricketts and the Rev. Fay Leydig. Interment Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ron Logsdon, Terry Logsdon, Mike Logsdon, Elliott Stallings, Theodore Miller and Perry Ritchey. The Republic, December 19, 1985 [L1140]
