Logue Former Secretary of Internal Affairs Expired Suddenly in Philadelphia Thomas A. Logue, Secretary of Internal Affairs during the administration of Governor George H. Earle, died unexpectedly early last Thursday morning at his home in Philadelphia. He had returned from a business trip to Harrisburg the previous day and was stricken in his bed, Wednesday night. He was aged 47 and had been prominent in Democratic politics for a quarter of a century. He was one of the most efficient and popular members of the Earle administration. He is survived by his wife and four children. One of the first to send condolence was his successor in office, William S. Livengood, Jr., who defeated Logue when he was a candidate for re-election in 1938. In his message of condolence, Livengood termed him "a kindly, courteous gentleman, with a keen, appreciation of the responsibility entailed by public service.
