    Bernice M. Lohr, 87, of Central City died April 27, 2001 at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 8, 1913 in Shade Township, daughter of
  Charles and Ellen (Ripple) Brubaker.  Preceded in death by parents;
  husband Maurice, brother: E. Paul, Kenneth, Herbert, Richard and
  William E., and a sister, Florence.  Survived by a daughter Carol and
  husband William Oravec, Central City, and a son Gary Lohr and wife
  Sandy (Nizinski) of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and grandchildren, William
  Oravec Jr. and wife Jackie, Jo Ellen and husband Patrick Merchant;
  James Lohr and wife Tammi; and Eric Lohr.  Great-grandchildren,
  Nicholas Lohr, Matthew, Bradley, and Kristen Oravec.  Also
  sister-in-law, Thelma Brubaker, and cousin Pauline Houston who was
  like a sister.  Member of Ridge Church of the Brethren and Central
  City Senior Citizens.  She served as pianist at both the Shade Church
  and Ridge Church of Brethren.  She enjoyed quilting, needlepoint,
  crocheting, and loved playing cards.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown,
  where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. Brian Simmons
  officiating.  Interment, Shade Church Cemetery.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1623
  Ridge Rd., Hooversville, Pa. 15936.
