Lohr, 76, Hooversville, died Aug. 26, 1993, at Conemaugh Hospital, Johnstown. Born Nov. 2, 1916, in Jerome, so of the late Ira C. and Mary (Keim) Lohr. Also preceded in death by wife, the former Elizabeth "Libby" Coleman, on July 15, 1993. Survived by son, Richard B., married to the former Felicia Bulger, Hooversville RD 1; grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephanie and Scott. Brother of Dorothy Eppley, Davidsville; Mrs. Abe (Geraldine) Knepper, Johnstown; brother-in-law of Edwin E., Ronald and Iris Coleman; also special nephew, Brian Eppley. Graduate of Ferndale High School. Retired after 41 years with Johnstown Works, U.S. Steel Corp. World War II Air Force veteran, having served in Burma. Former director of Forbes Joint Schools and Hooversville Water Authority. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hooversville, having served on council and was church treasurer for 20 years. Charter member of Hooversville Lions Club, where he served as secretary for 22 years and was a zone chairman in 14 M for three years. He received the Melvin Jones Award and was Lions Citizen of the Year in 1979. He was a member of Johnstown VFW Post 155, Hooversville Senior Citizens, Hooversville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, where he served as ambulance treasurer. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Viewing at Trinity Lutheran Church from 1 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Gerald L. Myers officiating. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome.
