David J. Lohr

David J. Lohr, 69 died at his home on Wednesday,  March 16, 1966. He was born in
Shade Township, Cambria County on July 16, 1897 and was the son of John T. and
Laura Jane Berkey Lohr.  He was preceded by his parents and two brothers, Moses
and Orlando.

He is survived by his wife, the former Rella Mae Buchanan, and the following
children; Zella, wife of Earl Naugle, Elton; Dayton, married to the former
Mildred Wain, Geneva, wife of Roydon Brant, Fred J., married to former Charlotte
Petree,   Janet, wife of Ronald Gidlesberger, Hooversvile; Jean wife of Millard
Thomas, and Jerry married to former Nancy Tirk all of Hooversville R.D. 1;
Kenneth married to former Leona Leventry, Johnstown, and Rev. Morris G. married
to Mary Franklin Spitler of Conemaugh R. D. 1; also 32 grandchildren; one sister
and two brothers, Mr. M. Dean Shaffer and Herbert of Hooversville R.D. 1 and
Herlen Lohr of  Entiken.

He was a retired farmer and an employee of the Johnstown Works of U. S. Steel
Corporation.

He was a member of the St. Thomas Lutheran Church at Hooversville R. D. 1 where
funeral services will be held on Saturday.
