  DURBIN LOHR
  
    Durbin "Red" Lohr, 70, Garrett, died Feb. 9, 1984 in Meyersdale. 
    He was born April 14, 1913, in Garrett, a son of the late Jake and
  Stella (Deaner) Lohr.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Hilda Drenner.  Death ends a
  marriage union of 50 years.
    He is survived by these children: Bernie Garkovich and Gary W.,
  both of Akron, Ohio; Thomas, McKeesport; Sally M. Kelley, North
  Versailles; Robert D., Meyersdale RD 3; Donald R., Library; Janis L.
  Saylor, Berlin; Audrey J. Christner, Betty G. Hoover, Patricia A.
  Decker, and Theresa K. Lohr, all of Garrett; 25 grandchildren; and 15
  great-grandchildren.
    He was the brother of Glenn, Mars.
    He was also survived by stepsister, Grace McHenry, Plum Borough; he
  owned and operated Lohr's Tavern, Garrett, for three years.  He was a
  retired coal miner  with 30 years of service, a PennDOT supervisor
  for eight years, a former member of the Garrett Borough Council and
  the Water and Sewage Authority.  He was a member of the Garrett
  Sportsman's Association and a life member of the Garrett Volunteer
  Fire Department.
    Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. Albert Valentine.  Interment,
  Highland Cemetery.
