Lohr, 91, of Kantner, died Feb. 16, 1990, at Windber Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1898, in Shade Township, son of Jonas and Alverta (Bowman) Lohr. Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the former Estella Grine; sister, Betty Lehman, and brother, Wesley. Survived by these children: Darwin, married to former Vera Meyers, Stoystown RD 3; Leo, Kantner, Waneta Newbold, Stoystown RD 1; Jack, married to former Shirley Clark, Stoystown; Mrs. Don (Judy) Ingram, Hyattsville, Md., and Mrs. Fred (Betty Lou) Pysher of Bradford; also 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Retired owner of Lohr Feed and Implement Store, Kantner. Vice president of Friends Cove Mutual Insurance Company, Bedford. Director emeritus of National Bank of Western Pa. Former Forbes High School board member and secretary. Charter member of Stoystown Lions Club. Past president of Pa. School Directors Association. Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, where he served as choir director and president of trustees for many years. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where Lions Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday.
