Lohr, of Warren, Ohio, died suddenly last Thursday, August 10, at the home of her brother, Robert E. Engle, Columbiana, Ohio. Mrs. Lohr was born in Elk Lick Township, May 10, 1889, a daughter of Theodore and Diana (Keefer) Engle, and was aged 64 years and 3 months at the time of her death. Mrs. Lohr was married to Oscar Sipple, a resident of Meyersdale, now deceased. She later married Frank Lohr, of Johnstown, also deceased. Later she was employed by William Cable in Berlin, where she became seriously ill and was taken to the Community Hospital, Somerset, where she underwent an operation in January 1944. She was later removed to the home of her son, Clyde Sipple, in Warren, Ohio, where she made her home until the time of her death. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Clarence Fay and Mrs. Hugo Christianson, both of Springfield, Mass.; one son, Clyde Sipple, of Warren, Ohio, and four grandchildren. The following brothers and sisters also survive: Robert Engle, Columbiana, Ohio; Irvin Engle, Meyersdale; Mrs. Olive Manges, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Eva Manges and Mrs. Mary Berkey, both of Akron, Ohio. The body arrived in Meyersdale last Friday afternoon and was prepared for burial by W. C. Price & Son. Funeral services were conducted in St. Paul (Wilhelm) Reformed Church, of which the deceased was a member, on Sunday afternoon, August 13, by Rev. Nelson C. Brown. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, August 17, 1944
