Lohr, 69, of Kantner died June 3, 1997, at home. Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Kantner. Son of Forest A. and Estella (Grine) Lohr. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Jack D. Survived by brother, Darwin A., married to the former Vera Meyers of Stoystown; sisters: Waneta A. Newbold, Stoystown; Judith C., married to Donald Ingram, Hyattsville, Md., and Betty Lou, married to Fred Pysher, Bradford. Also numerous nieces and nephews. World War II Army veteran. Had a master's degree in music from Westminster College. Retired music teacher in Cleveland, Ohio. Former owner and operator of Lohr's Stores in Stoystown and Kantner. Member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Wilbur. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, Rev. Samuel J. Weible.
