  Luther S. Lohr, 88, of Barn St., Hooversville, died Sept. 15, 1976 in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 27, 1888, in Johnstown. 
  Preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Rosa (Spangler) Lohr;
  his wife, Leafy Philson in 1967; a son Kenneth; a brother and a
  sister.  Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Sann at Indiana
  University of Pa., Indiana; a son Robert L., married to the former
  Lois Shaffer of Jennerstown; two grandsons, Kenneth R. of Cincinnati,
  Ohio, and L. Michael, Jennerstown.  Mr. Lohr was the oldest resident
  of Hooversville.  He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran
  Church, Hooversville; a member of UMWA; Hooversville Senior Citizens
  and the Hooversville Fire Company.  Viewing will be Friday from 2 to
  4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thomas P. Read Funeral Home,
  Hooversville.  Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church
  at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Gerald Myers officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
