She was a daughter of the late William J. and Melinda Burkholder Lohr, and spent her entire life in Garrett. Her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Burkholder, were early pioneers. Mr. Burkholder built the first house in Garrett. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Frank Lohr, Rochester, N.Y.; Ellis Lohr, Painesville, O.; Mrs. Anna Mary Phennicie, Milo E. and Harry M. Lohr, Garrett. Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Phennicie, Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. John Hoenstine, pastor of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church officiating. Burial in the Highland View Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, October 18, 1945
