Lohr Jr., 63, of Stoystown RD 1, died May 28, 1983, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. He was born Jan. 31, 1920, in Johnstown, son of Milton G. Lohr Sr., of Stoystown RD 1 and the late Parnell (Eichelberger) Lohr. Also preceded in death by brother Earl. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Barnett, whom he married April 30, 1944, and these children: Mrs. Lawrence (LaVonne) Bertino, Rockwood; Cecil and Lynn, both of Stoystown RD 1; Vernon, married to Cheryl Miller, Friedens RD 1; four grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Wayne (Lois) Young, Martinsburg; Mrs. Clarence (Frances) Rhoads, Stoystown RD 1; Paul, married to Ethel Turney, Meyersdale RD 3; Donald, married to Dawna Grim, of Columbia. He was a Quemahoning Township farmer, member of Hooversville Church of the Brethren, Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service, an Agway Committee member. He was a former Forbes School Board member and Quemahoning Township auditor. Friends were received at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Richard Schlak. Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown. If friends desire, instead of flowers, contributions may be given to the cancer or heart fund. The Republic, June 2, 1983 [L1213]
